Julia Kidder
Research Assistant (2021-current)
Julia is an interdisciplinary artist and PHD Student at UBC's School of Community & Regional Planning (SCARP) and a Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions (PICS) scholar on the Living with Water project. Her research and work focus on collaborative planning, coastal adaptation and Indigenous governance and has a background in sociology, climate policy and conflict resolution. With 5+ years of experience in environmental, legal, and science communications, and over a decade in mixed-media and visual arts fields, Julia’s unique bag of skills enable creative pathways for community engagement - from the ideation stage, to knowledge translation and policy recommendations - on complex environmental governance issues.
